About the Role:
We’re looking for a high-energy Business Development Partner to help grow two connected brands — Prototype MKTG, a boutique marketing agency for tech/fintech and cultural/lifestyle brands, and Phaon Spurlock Consulting, a strategic marketing advisory practice.
You’ll be responsible for driving outreach, building relationships, booking qualified discovery calls, and fueling new client growth. This is a commission-based role ideal for someone who thrives on authentic connections and sales with purpose.
What You’ll Do:
- Identify and reach out to qualified prospects in fintech/tech and cultural/lifestyle sectors.
- Use LinkedIn, email, and networks to generate new business opportunities.
- Pre-qualify leads and schedule discovery calls for Phaon Spurlock.
- Manage leads through the CRM (HubSpot) and track progress.
- Attend weekly check-ins to review performance and refine outreach strategy.
What We’re Looking For:
- 3+ years experience in business development, agency sales, or partnerships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Knowledge of or interest in fintech, tech startups, and lifestyle/cultural brands.
- Relationship-first approach — genuine, strategic, and self-motivated.
- Comfortable working remotely and independently.
Compensation:
Commission-Only, Uncapped Earnings
- 15% commission on agency projects (Prototype MKTG)
- 20% commission on consulting engagements (Phaon Spurlock Consulting)
- Paid monthly upon client payment.
- Bonus potential after 90 days based on performance.
